Find and create coaching drills
The Drills Library brings your own, club, premium, and community content together. Start by saving a useful existing drill, then create one private drill that you can reuse in session plans.

1. Explore the Library
Open Drills > Library.
Search by title, author, or keyword.
Use Source to switch between your content, club content, premium drills, and the planet.training Community.
Use Drill focus or All filters to narrow the results.
Open a drill to review its media, description, categories, collections, and sessions. Like a useful drill so it is easier to find again.

2. Start a private drill
Click New drill.
Enter the content title.
Click Continue.
The creation wizard has three stages: media, title and description, and settings.

3. Add media
Choose the option that best explains the drill:
reuse media from an existing drill or tactic;
create a drawing;
create an animation;
add an external media link;
upload an image; or
upload a video.
A drill can also be saved without media, but a clear visual often makes it easier for staff and players to understand.

4. Add coaching information
Review the title, write a concise description, and assign relevant categories such as drill focus, age group, group size, or goalkeeper requirements.
Use a consistent description structure—for example Organization, Instructions, Coaching points, and Variations—so club content is easy to scan.

5. Decide who this drill is for and save it
In Settings, leave Public turned off for a private drill, select the correct language, and click Save & close. The visibility of a drill is later shown via the icon in the top right of a drill card, with a lock indicating private drills.

6. Add the drill to a collection
Open the saved drill and add it to an existing collection or create a new collection. Collections can represent session themes, progressions, age groups, or coaching programs.
How this connects
Saved drills remain available in the Library and can be added directly to training-session plans. The drill detail page also shows which collections and sessions use the drill.
You are finished when:
You have favorited one useful existing drill.
Your private drill appears in the Library.
The drill belongs to a collection.
