Create and reuse tactics
Tactics turn formations, set plays, patterns, and tactical principles into reusable visual content. Create one private tactic and prepare it for use in a session or gameday.
What you will achieve:
Create a tactic with a drawing or animation
Assign it to the correct team and tactical focus
Understand how tactics connect to sessions and gamedays

1. Open the Tactics Library
Open Tactics > Library. Use Search, Source, Tactic focus, Collections, and All filters to explore existing content before creating something new.

2. Create the tactic
Click New tactic.
Enter a short, recognizable title.
Continue to the media and team step.
Select the team the tactic is intended for.

3. Add the visual explanation
Create a tactical drawing or animation, reuse existing media, add a media link, or upload an image or video. Use the visual to show player positions, movements, zones, and the sequence of actions.
Tip: Use animation when timing and movement order matter. Use a static drawing when the main goal is to communicate positions or a single phase of play.

4. Add description and categories
Write a short explanation of the situation, player responsibilities, triggers, and coaching points. Assign the relevant tactic-focus categories so the tactic can be found through filters.

5. Go through settings and save it to your library.
Review the Settings step, and save the tactic.

6. Reuse the tactic
Go to the detail view of a gameday and navigate to the 'Preparations' tab. In the card 'Edit match tactics' you can then select your gameday tactics.
You can also open the tactic's detail page to see more secondary options:
add it to a training session;
place it in a collection;
create a variation;
duplicate it for another team;
generate a PDF; or
share an available tactic link.
How this connects
Tactics can be added to training-session plans and gameday preparation. Collections provide a reusable tactical playbook, while variations help preserve related alternatives without replacing the original.
You are finished when:
The tactic appears in your Tactics Library.
It has a team, visual, and tactical focus.
You know where to add it to a session or gameday.
